Prevention of Sexual Harassment
At General Mills, we take pride in ensuring we provide a respectful, safe and progressive culture and a healthy working environment for all our employees.
In line with this, we follow a gender-neutral policy on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment” which aims at sensitizing employees regarding sexual harassment and lays down guidelines for prevention & redressal of incidents involving sexual harassment. All employees of the Company have a personal responsibility to ensure that their behaviour is not contrary to this policy. All employees are encouraged to reinforce the maintenance of a conducive work environment free from fear of sexual harassment.
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is constituted to provide protection against sexual harassment of employees at workplace and for the prevention & redressal of complaints of sexual harassment, if any.
Towards this effort, we run several initiatives that help foster an inclusive, open and trust-based culture. One of our very important focus areas is to ensure that we call out behaviours or practices that are deemed as harassment or in conflict with our core values. Some of our efforts towards creating a safe environment and raising awareness around sexual harassment include:
- Virtual & in-person workshops on POSH for employee awareness
- Preparedness of the Complaints Committee through external trainings/ forums
- Redressal mechanism for complaints on Sexual Harassment
